Fuel Save Pro and its reviews perhaps have all the makings of being a scam and do not appear to be legit. Right off the top, I can tell you that I would not buy this product. It claims to reduce fuel consumption by 35%. Here's what the website says: "Upgrade your car with this intelligent fuel saving device that easily installs and begins tuning your vehicle’s ECU for lower fuel consumption. It’s called, the Fuel Save Pro."
And here's the thing. I think I've seen this product before. I've done some reporting in the past about a product that seemed to change names every few weeks or months. The product was known as EcoFuel, then EcoDriver, then EcoChip, then EcoPlus. Now there's what appears to be a very similar product named Fuel Save Pro, and Google users are looking for reviews and to find out if it's a scam or legit. Fuel Save Pro might be the same thing as the others.
It's late on the night of Oct. 9, 2022 when I am making this video. I saw it showing up fairly low in Google Trends, but it was there nevertheless. This meant that Google users were searching for it.
If a product like the Fuel Save Pro chip actually worked and wasn't a scam, it would have credible reviews online by multiple news organizations, Reddit users, and prominent YouTube channels. Unfortunately, all that I found were articles that claimed to be reviews, but were really little more than product pitches. And these were sponsored content articles, meaning that someone paid to place them on various websites so that they would show up in Google search results.
Also, I noticed something very interesting. These same websites that hosted these sponsored content articles for the Fuel Save Pro chip, some of which had headlines that also said "scam or legit," those websites are also used for fake reviews for fake celebrity endorsements of CBD and keto gummies.
Among the forest of unhelpful Google search results about this product was one that was nice to find. A Reddit user named u/RamsesThePigeon published quite a bit of information about this whole Fuel Save Pro chip product, calling it a scam. The user said there was a YouTube ad going around to push the product to consumers. The user said that these kinds of devices do not work and added that Fuel Save Pro is a scam. This person also noted the same thing I found in regard to the sponsored content articles. They also mentioned that the official website called the product EcoTune, which sounds like the next name in line after EcoFuel, EcoDriver, EcoChip, and EcoPlus.
Here's my advice. If you're going to order a tech product that makes a bold claim, look for credible reviews from well-known news organizations that you are familiar with, and make sure they aren't labeled as sponsored content.
Finally, always remember with the possibility of online scams and their reviews as well as ads for devices like Fuel Save Pro, always remember this in general, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
