This is my tribute to The Shady Nook Restaurant and to one of my dearest long time friends, Martin Bevis.
Martin plays the fabulous WLW - Moon River organ, 4 manuals, 30 ranks. All this became totally lost just last year in 2007. I know the video is rough, but it was the first time I tried to make a program. The program was shown on cable tv to over 1,000,000 people. Also this video was done at Christmas 1988, 20 years ago. Martin was a skating rink organist when I met him and I was lucky enough to follow behind Martin by playing in the rinks and then at the Shady Nook. Martin is now the organist at the Victoria Theatre in Dayton Ohio Let me add, The photos of the exterior of the Shady Nook were take at least 4 years after it closed. It Looked much better when it was operating.
