How to Make Delicious Fudgy Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
5 medium eggs (50g each) 400g caster sugar
100g dark brown sugar
300g unsalted butter
400g dark chocolate
150g plain flour
pinch of salt
100g milk/dark chocolate chips (optional)
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 160°C fan/ 180°C oven.
2. Line a rectangular deep baking tray (7” x 11” x 1.5” deep)or equivalent with parchment paper
3. Melt together the chocolate and butter over a bain-marie* or in the microwave in short bursts.
4. In a large bowl whisk together the eggs and sugar until they are well combined.
5. Pour in the melted chocolate and butter and mix well.
6. Whisk the flour and salt into the egg mixture.
7. Stir in the chocolate chips if using and pour the mixture into the prepared tin.
8. Bake the brownies for 30-35 minutes.
9. Once cooked removed from the oven, allow the brownies to cool before chilling them for a minimum of 4 hours in the fridge, ideally overnight. They will be a lot easier to portion like this.
10. After patiently waiting for the brownies to chill, slice them up and try not to eat them all at once! Once baked these brownies will keep for 5 days in the fridge or in the freezer for 30 days
