Travelling SL Sleeper Class on Indian Trains. How tough is it? We take a 13 hour journey from Kochi to Chennai and show you what it's really like to travel Sleeper Class on Indian Trains these days. This is our first time back in India in 28 years since we were here in 1996 and we wanted to see if much had changed in that time. So, being frugal travellers, we took the SL class, like we did back then and found that it is far more challenging to travel this way now than it was all those years ago.
