So pretty crazy, the day this song actually dropped I was lucky enough to be around everyone from the ever so infamous Save Money crew out of Chicago, IL and be surrounded by not only the front runners of the group but everyone including the musicians/producers etc. there was something special with this song soon as I heard it and knew I wanted to get down to it but couldn't find the inspiration because at that moment I couldn't relate to it...UNTIL I took a month long trip to shoot this film and couldn't feel more lonely than I've felt in a long time...even though I was sad I decided that I've gone the whole "sad" route quite a bit so I thought why not make fun of myself and make light of the situation by doing this song I already love with some funny twists on it. Anyway I tried some different stuff with this piece-It's not typical of my other work but thought it be more fun to try something different and not be so in your face all the time with my content. I put a lot of work into this on every single second I had between rehearsals and shooting and yes there are some mistakes (It's my first time shooting and editing everything with a dslr and using premiere 100% by myself) but I ended up pretty happy with the final result and hopefully you are too!
Shout outs out to Chance one more time for filling some inspirational musical gaps in my life and Peter Cottontale for producing this joint aka one of the chillest dudes on earth-and don't be afraid to show them love, humble artists from Chicago, IL. Aye.
