ADTC Pura Vida Dance Camp:
"Pura vida" is a characteristic Costa Rican phrase. It literally means pure life, however, the actual meaning is closer to "this is living!", "going great", or "real living." And there couldn't be a better name for our Costa Rican dance camp!
Our Central America home is the Nosara Yoga Institute, a beautiful, sustainably-minded Eco Village retreat center located next to Playa Guiones, one of Costa Rica's best surfing beaches and a world away from the stress of everyday life. Our air-conditioned "casitas" are within easy walking distance of the chemical-free saltwater pool, dance studios, open-air dining area...and, of course, the beach!
In Costa Rica we offer offer a TEEN TRAVEL Overnight Dance Camp for girls ages 13 - 17; & WORLD DANCE Camp for girls/moms ages 18 +. Mother/Daughter &/or Siblings attending camp together in Costa Rica receive $50 OFF tuition per-participant.

In addition to core dance classes in contemporary, hip hop & jazz (styles of jazz vary and may include lyrical, modern or Broadway), dancers at our ULTIMATE Mid Atlantic dance camp will choose between ballet, tap or world dance for their core elective dance discipline. Campers take four dance classes per day, and at week's end, they get to show off their new moves in a big Friday night performance for family, friends and fellow campers.
At NYI, participants have the option of staying in double or triple-occupancy Eco "Casitas." Single-occupancy Casitas are available for an additional fee. ADTC staff are housed alongside campers, providing 24-hour supervision & support. Amenities include laundry facilities, a Juice Bar & a Dance Canteen for basic supplies, snacks, ADTC apparel and souvenirs.
And at ADTC Nosara, Costa Rica you can enjoy AWESOME ACTIVITIES & EXTRAS like waterfall hikes, horseback riding, stand up paddle boarding, dolphin tours, snorkeling, turtle viewing, river kayaking, birdwatching, canopy tours, surfing & more! Optional field trips generally take place during afternoon free time with the exception of a few evening offerings.
