Hello everyone! Join me for a quick Pilates arm workout with light weights to help strengthen, sculpt and tone your upper body. I'm sitting down on a squishy Pilates ball in today's class, but you're welcome to sit on a cushion, or on your knees (if that's comfy for you!), you're also welcome to stand! :)
I’m using 1.9kg dumbells, but feel free to choose your own weight level, from 0.5 to 3kg. If you don't have dumbbells at home, you can always use cans of food, milk/juice cartons, bottles of water, or whatever you have handy, just make sure they don't spill!
Remember to engage your arm muscles throughout this workout by squeezing them and controlling and slowing down the movements. You'll need to give yourself resistance and not just rely on the dumbbells to turn on your muscles completely for you (especially if you've opted not to use weights or if you're using a light pair). I always say, 'think you're holding on to heavy weights' or 'pretend you're moving your arms through thick melted chocolate or honey!'
Feel free to shake out those arms if needed, and then jump right back in!
For an extra challenge, why not complete workout twice or even three times in a row?!! :)
If you enjoyed this arms workout, please remember to like, share, subscribe and comment if you have any questions, suggestions or feedback.
