University of Maryland clinical instructor Lee C. Westgate, MBA, MSW, LCSW-C; Walden faculty member Mark Leggett, PhD; and Bettina Straight, Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Organizational Effectiveness at Walden, will discuss care for the LBGTQIA+ community from the perspectives of educators, clinicians, and patients. This interactive roundtable discussion will explore the impact of caregiver interactions on the patient experience, offer strategies for culturally competent care, and highlight health disparities for the LBGTQIA+ community.
