Panchamrut is a traditional, authentic recipe. This is sweet and a little tangy in taste. This is made as a side dish specially during festival. This is quiet easy and simple recipe. Try this panchamrut at home. DO not forget to like, comment, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 1 tsp Oil
• 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
• A pinch of Hing / Asafetida
• Curry leaves
• 1 Green chili chopped
• 1/4 cup Coconut slices
• 1/4 cup Roasted Peanuts
• 1/2 cup Waite Sesame seeds
• 1/4 cup Tamarind pulp
• Water
• 1/4 cup Jaggery
• 1 tbsp Goda masala
• Salt to taste
Method:
• Heat up oil in a pan.
• Add mustard seeds and let them pop up.
• Add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves, green chili and coconut
slices.
• Fry the coconut a little.
• Take peanuts and roast them. Remove their cover and blender in
blender just once or twice.
• Do not make peanut powder. Few whole peanuts should be seen.
• Add peanuts.
• Take sesame seeds and roast them.
• Blend them coarse in blender.
• Add sesame seeds. Mix well.
• Take tamarind and soak it in water or you can microwave it.
• Mash tamarind and make its pulp.
• Add tamarind pulp and water to adjust consistency.
• Add jaggery and salt to taste.
• You can increase the quantity of jaggery if you want panchamrut
sweeter.
• Mix well and jaggery should melt in it.
• Boil panchamrut on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes.
• Turn off the gas and panchamrut is already.
