Taliban’s sweeping return to power in Afghanistan has encouraged radical groups in Pakistan to become more active. After the resurgence of Afghan Taliban, now Pakistani Taliban are reportedly preparing to retake control of Pak tribal regions. According to reports, Pakistan Taliban or TTP has ramped up attacks in the country in the recent months.
Some reports claim TTP has been imposing surcharges on local contractors. According to locals, Pak Taliban also resorting to killing those who defy them. Some experts warn that Pakistan is at a risk of becoming like Taliban-run Afghanistan.
