Today I am sharing with you the way that my family and I loves to make Dhal. This is best served along side rice , smoked herring, salt fish and tomatoes. stew meats , curry meats and my husbands favourite fried Carallie aka Bitter Melon.
Here are the ingredients you will need.
3/4 cup dhal / split peas washed
3 cups water
2 tbso chopped onion
1 large garlic minced
1 pimento pepper chopped
2 red bird peppers whole
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric

1 tbsp veg oil
1 large clove garlic sliced
few grains cumin / geera seeds
1/4 tsp geera powder
