Saturday the 14th December would see 11 year old pacific 60163 Tornado back on the ECML, with the loco in charge of RTCs 'Christmas White Rose' from London Kings Cross to York and back. The tour should have had 60009 Union of South Africa hauling the return journey, but unfortunately the loco failed on a move down to Southall a week before so Tornado would haul the entire trip.
Having not seen the loco since June a trip to the EC was a must. With a outbound journey being a bit too early i decided to catch the return trip, so in this video we head to Hadley Wood where Tornado is seen speeding through the station on its last few miles to the Capital. This is my last mainline steam outing for the year so I want to say Merry Christmas to my viewers and subscribers.
