One of last year's absolute highlights: The performance of Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor with the world-famous Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes.
The young Edvard Grieg composed his piano concerto in Søllerød, north of Copenhagen, and also the World Premiere took place in Denmark, namely in Copenhagen in April 1869.
Our concert took place in Tivoli in Copenhagen August 2019, and as far as we know, this was the first performance in modern times of Grieg's concerto with period instruments. Leif Ove Andsnes plays on a Blüthner from around 1867 from the collection of Edwin Beunk in Holland. Conductor is Lars Ulrik Mortensen.
