For my experience, I visited this area twice. I visited Cisheng Temple at north Dadaocheng and wanted to have brunch at the famous street vendors around banyan tree outside the temple. I was surprised that all vendors were closed due to group travel. So, I changed my mind that I would find my food at nearby Yansan Night market area. This time I was lucky. I had my brunch at Dong Shi Fresh Oyster seafood restaurant located at No. 50, section 3, Yanping north road and with air condition. This restaurant opens since 1981 and over 40 years with English menu posted on Facebook. I believed this restaurant priced every food very reasonable. I ordered one famous oyster omelet for $65 and one seafood noodle soup for $90. Both meals were so fresh and tasty.
Then, I walked along Taipei bridge to visit the Shí lián dòng historical area. Shí lián dòng historical area locates at No. 362, Section 1, Dihua Street, Datong District, Taipei Taiwan. There are 10 connected Baroque style and 2 levels buildings built since 1912 in the north section of Dihua Street. Those buildings were preserved by Taipei city to show and exhibit the past factories and business office from Dadaocheng area history. Later, I kept walking along Dihua Street. There was a temple fair and God parade going on. I stayed watching and listening the traditional music with exciting dancing during the ritual. I was lucky to witness the local activities and recorded it.
