During the 2022 field season, Rio Grande National Forest archaeologists conducted three 1 x 1 meter square shovel test units at the Bunker Site in order to get a better sense of the geoarchaeology and cultural history of the site. Preliminary geomorphological, faunal, and lithic analysis were conducted and radiocarbon dates were obtained. The results of these data are presented here and provide an interesting glimpse into the occupational history of the site.
