We met up with our cousin Kellen on the second day of our Montana trip to fish all day long. We put in a ways downstream on The Beaverhead River and did a 4 hour float mostly fishing streamers and nymphing. Fishing was relatively slow, so we pulled out and relocated. Early into our afternoon float we pulled up on a super long run where we waded for around 3 hours. Action was slow to start, but soon after a yellow sally hatch the big fish came to eat. Gavin hooked up first on a monster brown, then Dad caught one of similar caliber a few minutes after, and Kellen landed a giant Rainbow a little while later. We had other anglers move in on us so we continued our float down the river for the rest of the afternoon/evening. It was an epic day filled with world class trout. We hope you enjoy!
