The farm unions have indicated a possible resumption of talks with the government after they received a fresh letter from Union agriculture ministry and PM Modi’s speech.
PM Modi, in his speech during the virtual address to farmers across the nation, claimed that farmers were being misguided by some into believing that new farm laws mean the end of minimum support price (MSP) or APMC mandis. PM Modi’s speech sparked a political slugfest as opposition parties attacked the BJP for defaming farmers.
