【About WEY】
WEY is a car brand owned by Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor (GWM). Launched in 2016, the brand focuses on premium crossovers and SUVs.
In addition to the two R&D centers located in Shanghai and Baoding, WEY has also established R&D centers in South Korea, Japan, India, Germany, Austria, and the United States, covering engines, vehicles and fuel cells. Among them, the R&D centers in South Korea and Germany are mainly responsible for new energy projects. Japan is mainly responsible for vehicle styling and interior and exterior design. The United States is mainly responsible for autonomous driving and traditional technology module engineering.
After 6 years of development, WEY's current new product layout has fully shifted to new energy vehicles. Starting in 2021, new energy vehicle models such as Mocha, Latte, and Macchiato launched one after another.
