A preview of my new jam called Five Gates- the title is based on the story of the Ramayana, where Rama, who represents cosmic consciousness, and Sita, who represents Divine Wisdom, live in the city of Five Gates, called Panchavati. Panchavati represents the head, and the Five Gates are our five senses, the eyes to see, the ears to hear, the tongue to taste and communicate, the nose to smell, and the skin to feel pain and pleasure. Destructive vibrations and sensory pleasures, represented by the 10 headed beast Ravana can distract us and enter Panchavati, our head and mind, and kidnap our wisdom, Sita. Nada Yoga and Meditaton are practices which can guard the gates and keep us in cosmic consciousness!
