We head to Charters Towers (Bill Lewis Oval) to Yarn with Megan Lucas - Secretary of the Charters Towers Minors. We talk about the mining town and the depth of Aboriginal talent in the area. Barefoot talks to Miners Coach Ken Thompson about the strength of the club for such a small town. Sam Lococo - President of the Miners lets us know about the history of the club; from its inspection in 1918 (then named the Charters Towers Tigers) and how they moved from reserve grade team in to A grade team now known as the Miners. Sam also let us know about the three teams and the 70 to a 100 players and how they lose a lot of player to shift work in the local mines. We also catch up with local Referee Chris Nitsopoulos about why he became a Referee.
