Teardown, charging, discharging and capacity test of Mi Powerbank Boost Pro 30,000 mAh (18Watt) PD3.0
This massive power bank has16 layers of protection. It comes with a 111 Wh massive Li-polymer battery and supports PD 3.0 18 watts. Both outputs (USB-A, and USC-C) on this PB supports Samsung adaptive fast charging, FCP 9V, QC 2.0 (5, 9, 12 V), QC 3.0, and Apple 2.4A.
Here are my testing results:
Charging 18 Watts (9V)
Time: 8 hrs: 36 mins
Energy consumed: 133.53 Wh
Charging 10 Watts (5V)
Time: 12 hrs: 54 mins
Energy consumed: 128.32 Wh
Discharging 18 Watts (9V)
Time: 5 hrs: 46 mins
Energy Received: 102.46 Wh
Overall Efficiency: 76.7 %
Charging Times (80 % to 90%)
4000 mAh: 5.5 to 6.2 times
4500 mAh: 4.9 to 5.5 times
5000 mAh: 4.4 to 5 times
6000 mAh: 3.7 to 4.2 times
7000 mAh: 3.2 to 3.6 times
Conclusion: For calculation capacity of this power bank is equal to 22,000 mAh to 25,000 mAh. Best to buy for 30,000 mAh category.
