Hands down thee BEST Trangia hack to help cook food evenly in any Trangia pan! NO MORE CENTER HOT SPOTS!! 🤨
Bannock Bread Recipe:
(Bushcraft Bread)
Full Loaf (cooked in small pan):
1 cup flour
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup warm water
Half Loaf:
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup warmwater
Quarter Loaf:
1/4 cup flour
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 cup warm water
Mix dry ingredients real good first, then add water, and nead into a sticky dough (You can also add a few drops of olive oil to make it more pliable to the pan. Fold over well). Spread into a small lightly buttered pan and with a touch of olive oil or plenty of butter, over fire coals about 10-15min (low-ish heat), or until top starts to harden (and the bottom starts to brown), then flip for about the same (or until dough does not stick to a knife when inserted)
When reducing loaf size, cook times will be a bit (progressively) shorter,
Done! 😁
