I'm discussing what restrictive and repetitive behaviors are in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Today I'll focus on how RRBs specifically feature in high functioning individuals, sometimes referred to as people with Asperger's or High Functioning Autism. ASD is the only disorder that can be diagnosed with a history of symptoms that have become less clear presently. For high functioning individuals, many times they appear to have more rigidity with routines, language usage, and restrictive interest rather than stereotypical hand and arm movements, body posturing, or more obvious forms of behavioral repetitiveness.
