In this series we get to the most elementary question for a musician ever - How to choose the right instrument? The bass guitarist is the only member of the band standing at the edge of the rhythm component (drummer) and the melody component (guitarist, keyboard player, etc.). Along with the drums, the bass player creates the tempo and groove of the song and, with their tones and chord breakdowns, supports what the guitarist or other band members are playing at the given moment.
