“a6811” is an interactive art installation work, taking the tree as the presentation form, supplemented by modern digital technology, through the change of light and shadow, the whole tree will be presented to the audience in another way, the name of the work is taken from the code of "tree" in ASCII. This work was honoured to participate in the digital media exhibition of Beijing Normal University.
Tree, as a general name for woody plants, is mainly composed of roots, trunks, branches, flowers and fruits. Along with the development of modern computer technology, tree has also been extended to a set and a relationship defined on the set, which has become the term of data structure.
Tree, from the general name of woody plants, extends to the meaning of "establish", "cultivate", etc. "a6811" shows the historical growth of Beijing Normal University and the educational heart of "ten years of trees, a hundred years of people" in a way that is consistent with the shape and meaning.
