Replacing standard halogen bulbs with LEDs in Volkwagen Golf MK7 to have more consistent illumination in coming/leaving home feature. From now on light color of the fogs fits the LEDs under the wing mirrors and license plate illumination.
Replacing these bulb is fairly easy. All you need to do is turn the steering wheel all the way to one of the sides so you can have access to plastic covers behind the fog lights. Disconnect the connector from the bulb, rotate it counter-clockwise and replace with #LED. You can not rotate the bulb with the connector attached.
To take full advantage of the LED replacement bulbs and to avoid "broken bulb" error messages, you should change coding using OBDeleven, VCDS or other diagnostic interface.
