As Nowruz 2024 brings lots of Colour, Iran prepares for the Nowruz festival final moments a night before 1403 in Tehran.
A walking tour with my Iranian friend, in this amazing Nauruz video of Tehran we visited all market places in the busiest night of the year filled with dancing and joy of Iranian people on the street.
Nowruz has its origins from Zoroastrian culture and therefore rooted in the traditions of Iranians. The festival has been celebrated by many diverse communities for more than 2500 years in this region as well as many other regions of the world such as Central Asia, Middle East, West Asia, South Asia, near the Black Sea Basin, near the Balkans and even in the Caucasus and many part of the Europe by Iranian communities.
Simply means a *new day*, and called Nowruz in Persian in Persian language it is actually the start of a New Solar year, which marks it's way at the start of the spring brings greenery and freshness.
The new months, called Farvardin marks the beginning of the Solar year aka Hijri Calendar as Iranian and other similar countries of this region used a complete different calendar with the Year 1403 now.
Nowruz in celebrated all over the world by so many communities and ethnic group and typically starts from March 21 (March 20 during leap year) of Gregorian Calendar.
