Thank you for joining Seaside United Methodist Church of Sunset Beach, NC , for today's Traditional Worship Service! This Sunday we read another of Jesus’ parables, once more using the idea of things being planted. But in this story, Jesus talks about the reality of the wheat growing alongside of the weeds in the field. While the weeds threaten to destroy the crop, the good farmer knows when the right time is to harvest the wheat in a way that both removes the weeds while bringing the wheat into full fruition. What does this story have to teach us about our world today?
