Archeologists in China discovered a flush toilet that is likely one of the oldest ever discovered, dating from the Warring States Period to the beginning of the Han Dynasty and estimated to be between 2,200 and 2,400 years old. The discovery is intriguing because modern flush toilets are thought to have been invented in Victorian England in 1596 by Sir John Harington.
