A Ukrainian soldier was killed on Sunday in clashes between independence-seeking rebels and government forces in the war-torn east. The Ukrainian military said the soldier had died in a sniper attack on the government-held town of Marinka, about 20 kilometers southwest of the rebel-controlled Donetsk.
