Shadow Veteran Affairs Minister Barnaby Joyce says the Indigenous Voice to Parliament will be “completely confounded in bureaucracy” as the representative body’s consultative powers are questioned.
“We’re going to have real problems if it goes through with the executive case that currently stands,” he told Sky News Australia.
“What are you going to do with ASIO – is ASIO going to come and consult you about what they’re up to?
“It’s just completely and utterly overreach – it’s mad.”
