The terms ‘project’, ‘program’, and ‘portfolio’ In the development sector, are often used but not always strictly and precisely. In this video we will explain the definitions of each term.
Project management
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating temporary structures that have been created for the purpose of delivering one or more outputs.
Program Management
The Program Manager coordinate directs and oversees the implementation of a set of related projects and activities to deliver outcomes related to an organization’s strategic objectives.
Portfolio Management
The Portfolio Manager is a high-level leader who is accountable for an organization’s investment in the changes required to achieve its strategic aims and objectives.
