Hi Everyone. I decided to team up with a mate and hike Devon's full Coast to Coast, the Two Moors Way again. We wild camped all the way (no B&Bs etc) to complete the full hike in just 5 days. I'd completed it last year but had to do it in two stages as I got heatstroke in the first half. For me, that wasn't good enough, and had to do it again.
We set off from Wembury early in the morning. For anyone considering the Two Moors Way, definitely consider starting from Wembury as not only does it add some beautiful scenery along the way, you'll be completing a Coast to Coast where you leave at one coastline, and finish at another.
The Two Moors Way trail originally started in Ivybridge (Devon) but has been extended to Wembury (Devon) to make the route a true 'Coast to Coast' walk. It spans 117 miles from Wembury to Lynmouth (Devon) and winds its way over beautiful public footpaths, both Dartmoor and Exmoor, and through some time-trapped countryside, villages and hamlets. Most of the people we met along the way assumed we were Two Moors Way hikers by the way we looked (and smelt probably) but all were supportive. It's almost as if there is a small community and they support and respect the hikers giving advice, spots to look out for and places to stock up.
There's no fancy editing or camera work - just me and my phone. The videos are about documenting my experience, and hopefully give others some confidence to get out and explore the countryside - if I can do it, anyone can.
