Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel! In today's video, we are budgeting my 2nd paycheck in January 2023 in YNAB (You Need A Budget).

With this paycheck, I am able to completely fund February 2023 AND have around $1200 to put as an extra payment on my car loan. However, I am slightly hesitant to let go of the money due to all these tech layoffs happening right now. So I am kinda feeling like I want to start hoarding my money instead of making extra payments to debt....

I feel pretty secure in my position, but you never know. I remember back in 2020 when everyone was getting laid off, that was really scary. I even got laid off for two months because my office closed, but luckily I had an emergency fund and unemployment insurance really helped during that time.
