PERUVIANS WATCH MOVIES AT ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE
The ruins of an ancient pyramid in Lima were transformed into an outdoor cinema on Wednesday (22 APRIL 2015) night.
The event at the Huaca Pucllana site was the first of its kind in Peru, according to local media.
The screening was part of a local government initiative to highlight the importance of history while promoting culture in public spaces.
The site was built and used roughly between 400 and 700 A.D., according to a local government website.
It consists of a large pyramid, mostly built of adobe and filled with boulders and sand constructions.
