The JM Archives is proud to present Takeshi's Castle History Presentation: The Program that Brought Japanese Game Shows to the World.
This is a presentation done by Joshua Murphy for the Greater Japan festival of Kansas City. During this presentation, we will discuss the origins of who made the program, what went into the making of the show, who were the stars of the show and how did they get on the program, as well as dispelling some common misconceptions about the show. There'll be information and footage you've likely never heard or seen before.
Joshua Murphy (hence JM) is a Television Historian and Archivist with a focus on Japanese Television Variety and Game Shows. Joshua has interviewed over 100 contestants, producers, distributors, translators who've worked in the game show industry in one form or another.
