Saturday, 24th May, 2014. A visit to Llandudno Junction (and a brief foray to Llandudno) to see Castle Class No.5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' and Class 47 No.47773 on train 1Z43 07:18 Tyseley to Llandudno 'The Seaside Flyer.' The diesel led from Chester, with 5043 on the tail, the whole train having turned on the Chester triangle. This saved the time and expense of sending 5043 to turn on the triangle at Valley, Anglesey. After depositing its passengers at Llandudno, the train worked empty stock to the Junction and back, to take water.
Other normal service trains are also shown at Llandudno Junction and Llandudno, including a Class 175 conveying Bangor Crosville Club members to Chester for a day's refreshment.
Apologies for the heavy camera-shake in parts, in particular those taken from the road flyover at the Junction; as well as being very windy, the whole structure vibrates with road and foot traffic.
