In this video, I take on the repair of two Dewalt angle grinders with very different issues.

Grinder 1: The first grinder is a Dewalt DCG405 brushless model that had a rough fall into a dung spreader, leading to severe damage and causing it to stop working. After assessing the situation, I discovered that the switch activator had been displaced, and the internal casing was slightly damaged. With a bit of DIY plastic welding using a soldering iron and careful reassembly, I was able to restore functionality to this grinder.

Grinder 2: The second grinder is a Dewalt DCG412, a brushed model that had fallen into a mortar tub. This one had a much more alarming issue: it would run continuously when the battery was inserted, making it not just inconvenient but downright dangerous. Upon opening it up, I quickly diagnosed the problem—melted wires that were bypassing the switch. After cutting out the damaged wire and resoldering a new one, I successfully restored the grinder to full working condition.
