This was our first time cruising with Costa Cruises, and we too the Costa Pacifica cruise ship around the Mediterranean.
We had already read the damning reviews of Costa Cruise ships, they had been rated the Worst Cruise Ship line in Europe and the Costa Pacifica had been given some pretty bad reviews too, but as people who see the good in everything we do and as first time passengers onboard the Costa Pacifica, we wanted to share our experiences of the Costa Pacifica in this Costa Cruises Pacifica vlog.
This was a cruise only deal, so we had to make our way to Civitavecchia to embark the Costa Pacifica.
We travelled down to Civitavecchia the day before we were due to set sail, and despite having a small issue of a train strike, we managed to get to Civitavecchia fairly easy and enjoyed an evening looking around the town of Civitavecchia.

We embarked the Costa Pacifica the following day.
This Costa Cruises, Costa Pacifica cruise was to take us to Golfo Aranci in Sardinia - although, that was a last minute port change, as it was originally meant to dock in Olbia, Sardinia, one of our favourite places ever, we we got around that.
Other ports included Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Marseille and Savona, although in Savona, we decided to take an excursion and go to Monaco / Monte Carlo for the day.
This Costa Cruises, Costa Pacifica diaries vlog shows our travel day to Civitavecchia, our first day onboard exploring the Costa Pacifica and our first port day, where we finally ended up in Olbia, Sardinia, where after a quick look around Olbia Town, we went to one of our favourite places ever - Mare e Rocce beach and to the brilliant Rock & Beach bar.
Each week for the next few weeks, we will be posting the next instalments of the Costa Cruises, Costa Pacifica Cruise Diaries and at the end, we will post a full guide to the Costa Pacifica.
We can't wait to share this beautiful ship with you and show you what a great time we had, despite the negative press that Costa Cruises and the Costa Pacifica sometimes get.
