This is a speech I gave on the 25th July at El Khiam in 2016, on the 10th anniversary of their killing. They were unarmed Military Observers serving in Observer Group Golan (OGL):
Major Hans-Peter Lang from Austria
Lieutenant Senior Grade Jarno Mäkinen from Finland
Major (Posthumously promoted Lieutenant Colonel) Du Zhaoyu from China
Major Paeta Derek Hess-von Kruedener (Affectionately known as Wolf) from Canada They died in the just cause of peacekeeping, may their memories live on forever. Rest In Peace my friends.
