Welcome to the our new 3D Artefact Series!
In these short videos we get a 360 degree view of the excellent 3D Models produced by our Studio Team. Some of these models are of artefacts we've discovered on site, with these digital assets created to give the public access to the archaeology we've found. Others are accurate reconstructions that will feature in VR worlds.
This particular object is a Roman Trumpet Brooch that dates to the 1st Century AD. It was discovered within an animal enclosure along with another Brooch. Trumpet brooches are often heavy and highly decorated; on this example the bow head is a vertical oval in plan and on the back there is a vertical, perforated lug where the pin would have attached.
