Fine Food Specialist was founded in 2010 by Michelin trained chef Drogo Montagu, who, impacted by a disabling illness, embarked on a culinary adventure to find the finest foodie products imaginable and make them accessible to everybody from the comfort of their own kitchen. Drogo started Fine Food Specialist with this vision based on his own experiences working in restaurants across Europe where he developed a passion for fine dining and learnt about the importance of sourcing great quality ingredients. Having started in the food industry at the age of 19, Drogo has only ever known cooking and that love and care for exceptional food is evident at every level of the company.
We’re always on the hunt for the next foodie ingredient to get obsessed about, and strive to stay ahead of the curve by continuously discovering truly exciting products that more people need to know about. The company has grown considerably since the early days of Fine Food Specialist over ten years ago which began as a 1-man operation of Drogo himself sourcing and delivering products on a bike around London. Today, we have a slick warehouse set-up of over 20 team members in the New Covent Garden Market, with a full office working behind the scenes, delivering a huge range of 2000+ products around the country and internationally. A couple of years ago, we also launched Drogo’s Kitchen, a passion project to celebrate the ingredients we have on offer to spark conversations and inspire people to try something new in the kitchen.
