What a joy and what a sight. The endangered Hector's dolphin is endemic to New Zealand and only found around the shores of the south island. When one of the world's rarest and smallest dolphins gives birth to new life we are always overjoyed to marvel at their little ones. We were treated to sightings of three Hector's dolphin mothers and calves during our Akaroa Harbour Nature Cruise yesterday.
