Delhi is likely to experience its coldest day in December in 119 years on Monday with the day temperature recording 9.4°Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department. The temperature recorded by the Safdarjung laboratory at 2:30 pm was 9.4°Celsius. At the same time, Ayanagar recorded 7.8°Celsius, the Ridge 8.4°Celsius and Lodhi Road 9.2°Celsius. The lowest day temperature before this was on Dec 28, 1997 at 11.3°Celsius.
