On a recent field test trip to the Ascension, not the easiest place in the world to reach but well worth the effort, this magnificent Marlin was caught by Fox deputy Chairman Andy Little. Landing these fish is a real battle, exhausting work, after a one and a half hour battle the drama was not over as on this particular occasion the line was caught round both boat rudders. This is where the expertise of the crew came in, Captain Olaf Grimkowski and Colin Chester are fantastic guys and I would recommend them to anybody. After the snags were dealt with the Marlin was guesstimated at around 900lb, but upon reflection it might have well been a lot bigger but it doesn't really matter it was the third absolutely monster fish that fell to the new Fox Waverunner Crusader lure. That's not to mention all the other big marlin that have fallen to this model whilst testing. This front end cavitator portrays an action far larger than its actual size which seems to really attract the big girls. But when hit the small profile is easily engulfed for a high percentage hook up. The Crusader has earned the nickname of 'The Coincidence lure' as wherever it's run just by coincidence it seems to raise a big fish!
