About the session:

- Data Science is booming, and every company wants his/her piece of the pie. But adapting data science to a business environment can be challenging.
- In this presentation, Megan will discuss how data science differs between academic and the field, and the blockers she experiences working with companies. She will also shed some light on tips and tricks and MLops.

About the speaker:

Megan Bloemsma is a Data scientist currently working as a Cloud Solution Architect ISV at Microsoft. She helps software companies on a technical level, building new cloud solutions on Azure that innovate or help create new features on existing products.
She quotes - "Empowering people through technology is something that energizes me, and getting more women in the field is something that I’m passionate about."

Successful implementations of artificial intelligence and machine learning at her ISV (independent software vendor) partners, being a keynote speaker for a large audience on how AI can add value to your business and empowering women to get into tech and coaching them (both soft- and hard skills) to succeed in their field are some of the things she is proud of.
