(20 Sep 2012) US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns arrived in the Libyan capital Tripoli on Thursday for meetings with Libyan officials.
Burns was greeted by US embassy staff and Libyan officials at the airport in Tripoli, where he arrived with a delegation of other US officials.
Burns' visit comes after the US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and three other US staff were killed in an attack on the US consulate in Benghazi on September 11.
