A higher education qualification is proof that you've studied a subject to a certain level or that you've completed a specific programme.
• Education levels
All courses and programmes at universities and university colleges are divided into three levels: #bachelor's (first cycle), #master's (second cycle) and doctoral (third cycle). All levels build on the level before. Each course or programme has entry requirements. As a beginner, you'll apply to courses and programmes at the bachelor's level.
• Bachelor's #Degree
A Bachelor's Degree (also called a first degree or undergraduate degree) is attained after receiving a post- secondary (high school) education and generally spans four years. Students pursuing these types of degrees are commonly referred to as bachelor or undergrad students. A Bachelor's Degree is usually offered at an institution of higher education, such as a university.
• Master's Degree
A Master's Degree (or postgraduate or graduate education) involves learning and studying for academic or professional degrees. This degree is preceded by a Bachelor's Degree and generally takes two years to complete. Students pursuing these types of degrees are commonly referred to as masters or grad students.
• Doctoral Degree PHD.
Doctoral degree programs, also known as Ph.D. programs, are the most advanced type of degree program available. In order to study at the doctoral level, you must have completed a degree at the master's level.
