We drove the 2020 Chevy Bolt EV a few weeks ago from home over the Continental Divide to Wolf Creek MT and then to Helena, where we spent the night, the next day after completing some errands we drove back home to western Montana, near Missoula. This time we're doing the same trip with our 2018 Tesla Model 3 Long Range Dual Motor. You can see why Tesla has the top spot when it comes to traveling. The excitement is in driving comfortable at speed limits and fast charging with Tesla. With the Chevy Bolt EV the excitement was in "can we make it" at speeds of 10 to 15 MPH below the speed limit. But a Tesla comes at a much higher price, and you may not need all that range anyway. Both are great cars!
