Gert has intensified, and is now a hurricane with winds of 75 mph. The forecast is for the system to become a Cat 2 hurricane, but stay offshore from the U.S. and Bermuda. Rain and storms are forecast here late morning into the afternoon. There is the potential for locally heavy rain developing late morning into the afternoon. Hot weather is also forecast!
